Plan your visit

Think about carpooling!

In order to reduce the carbon footprint of the event, and out of consideration for the limited number of parking spaces available on the island, we encourage you to opt for carpooling.

To guarantee access to thousands of visitors, a shuttle service is provided free of charge to the public by the EXO bus service, from a satellite parking lot located near Saint-Bernard Island. Staff will provide directions to visitors. Shuttle departures will be continuous all day, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bicycle racks are available in 3 locations:

  1. At the entrance to the parc de la Commune
  2. At the entrance to the market on île Saint-Bernard
  3. At the Pavillon de l'île

Veuillez noter que la circulation en vélo sur le site de l’Écomarché n’est pas permise. Prévoyez un cadenas afin de sécuriser votre vélo lors de votre visite.

Wildlife refuge

Located on île Saint-Bernard, the refuge faunique Marguerite-D'Youville offers eight kilometers of trails crossing a variety of ecosystems that are home to remarkable flora and fauna. The rest stops and picnic areas offer exceptional views of important natural environments, as well as the St. Lawrence River and Montreal. The footbridges, quays and other facilities will delight nature lovers, ornithologists and photographers on the lookout!

Access to the wildlife refuge is via the Pavillon de l'île. Fees ($) in effect for access to the trails.

Navette fluviale Châteauguay—Lachine

The shuttle goes between Île Saint-Bernard in Châteauguay and Lachine, therefore allowing some forty cyclists and pedestrians to go from shore to shore while enjoying a relaxing moment on Saint-Louis Lake and the Châteauguay River.

This service is made possible by Navark in co-operation with the municipalities of Lachine and Châteauguay.

Reduced mobility

Designated spaces for vehicles of people with reduced mobility are reserved in the island parking lot. The artisan kiosks are all accessible to wheelchairs, since they are located along an asphalt path. EXO shuttles, allowing access to the island from various parking points, are also suitable. Bathrooms for people with disabilities will be accessible at all times at the Pavillon de l’île.
