Information for visitors



Until further notice, Héritage Saint-Bernard and the City of Châteauguay require the collaboration of visitors in order to respect the employees on duty as well as the instructions issued by the public health authorities:

  • Wearing a mask is now mandatory outdoors for groups of people who do not reside at the same address, unless they are two meters away.
  • It is also recommended for members of the same family unit at all times.
  • Plan for a waiting time to enter the reception building
  • Wearing a mask is mandatory in outside queues and inside the buildings.
  • Distance of 2 meters between family units.
  • Hiking in groups of eight (8) people maximum authorized. People who do not reside at the same address must maintain the 2 meter distancing. This limit does not apply to people residing at the same address.Respect for the number of people admitted inside buildings.
  • Non-essential travel between green, yellow or orange regions not recommended.

Opening hours

The Pavillon de l'île is open monday to thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and friday to sunday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The trails are accessible from sunrise to sunset.

Equipment rental is available daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

How to get here

From Montréal

Mercier Bridge (towards Châteauguay) to the entrance to the City of Châteauguay. Cross the city on Saint-Jean-Baptiste Boulevard and turn right on René-Lévesque Boulevard. Junction A-30 O. - QC. 132 O. Direction Léry. At the 4th traffic light, take the slip road on the right Chemin Saint-Bernard, until the obligatory stop. Turn left on Notre-Dame Nord. Follow the instructions for the Pavillon de l'île / île Saint-Bernard.

From A-30

Exit 35 - Chemin de la Haute-Rivière / boul. René-Lévesque. Turn left on René-Lévesque Boulevard. At the 2nd traffic light, take the slip road to the right Chemin Saint-Bernard. Turn left at the stop on Notre-Dame Nord. Follow the instructions for the Pavillon de l'île / île Saint-Bernard.
